Abstract	The article covers the issues concerning the legislative framework for state agencies and services operations in combating contemporary organized forms of crime and corruption. The author stresses the necessity for Ukrainian state agencies and services to measure up to international standards and practices. The author comes to a conclusion that corresponding units and services of the National Police of Ukraine have to develop and adopt advanced forms of investigative work. That will contribute to timely detection of existing and potential threats to domestic security of the state. In this regard the author offers to amend criminal and criminal procedure legislation of Ukraine.
